Cotton that grew up brown and green.
Naturally colored cotton carries its pigment inside the fibre — no dye vat, no azo chemistry, no colour to rinse away. We knit it into underwear, everyday clothing and babywear in Hunan, China, and ship it to brands in 34 countries.
The shade is in the fibre, not on it.
Pigment develops in the lumen of the cotton fibre while the boll grows. Nothing is added afterwards — which changes how the fabric feels, how it ages, and what ends up in the wastewater.
No dye vat
A dyed brown fabric is white cotton pushed through reactive dyes, salt and hot water. Naturally colored cotton skips the entire process — roughly 30–60 litres of water saved per kilogram of finished knit, and no dye effluent.
Kind to reactive skin
Dye residue and fixing agents are a common trigger for contact irritation. Undyed colored cotton removes that variable, which is why it is specified so often for eczema-prone skin, post-surgery wear and babywear.
Colour that matures
Brown deepens with washing; green softens toward sage. It is a living shade rather than a locked Pantone — the trade-off for zero dye chemistry, and the reason designers keep coming back to it.
Underwear first — because that is where the fibre touches skin all day.
Our underwear line is built on 150–200 gsm single jersey and interlock, knitted from colored cotton blended with a small share of white cotton or lyocell for strength. Every style can be private-labelled.

Twelve years of sewing one fibre.
Hunan Qinai Garments Co., Ltd. sits in Changsha, Hunan — a two-hour drive from spinning mills that have run colored cotton for two decades. That proximity is the whole business model: we buy the yarn close, knit close, and can turn a sample around in a week instead of a month.
We are a garment maker, not a trader. Cutting, sewing, finishing and packing happen under one roof, which is why we can hold tolerances on shade, shrinkage and stitch density that a trading company cannot promise.

Notes on the fibre
Is naturally colored cotton really undyed?
The pigment grows inside the fibre, so no dye is applied. But “undyed” is not the same as “unprocessed” — here is everything that still happens to the cotton.
Brown cotton vs green cotton: which shade should you specify?
Brown deepens with age, green drifts toward sage. A practical comparison for designers choosing between the two commercial shades.
Colored cotton vs organic cotton: they are not the same claim
One describes pigment, the other describes farming. Confusing them is the fastest way to an unsubstantiated label claim.
